Empowering Employees, Enhancing Efficiency | Zhong...

2025-06-20

In an era where digitalization and lean management go hand in hand, continuous learning is the core driver of corporate development. This week, our company, Ningbo Zhongyi Hydraulic Motor Co., Ltd., organized two insightful internal training sessions—Excel Skills Training and the Theory & Practice of 6S Management. These systematic learning initiatives aim to further enhance employees' office efficiency and management capabilities while injecting new momentum into the company's high-quality development.

Excel Skills Training: Boosting Office Efficiency

In daily work, Excel is a vital tool for data processing and analysis. This training focused on "practicality and efficiency," skipping basic operations and diving straight into real-world scenarios:

Daily Office Tips: Shortcut operations, table formatting, and data organization to improve basic efficiency.

Pivot Tables & Charts: Easily achieve data visualization to support quick decision-making.

Password Settings & Protection: Safeguard important files.

Practical Functions: Including VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF, and COUNTIF to address high-frequency needs like data matching and conditional calculations.

The trainer Wang Shaoping adopted a "case-based teaching + hands-on practice" approach, using real business data for live demonstrations.

Xiao Chen from the sales department remarked, "Tasks that used to take two hours manually can now be done in minutes with these functions—what a game-changer!" Participants agreed that these skills significantly reduce repetitive work, making data management more precise and efficient.

6S Management Theory & Practice: Building a Lean Production Site

This 6S management training targeted core personnel, including workshop supervisors, production/process/equipment department heads, and maintenance team leaders, focusing on standardizing and optimizing production sites.

Through benchmarking case studies, the training deepened understanding of 6S principles, such as optimizing layouts, reducing waste, and improving efficiency tailored to workshop realities.

Trainer Pan Lifeng addressed key challenges, emphasizing that "6S is not just about cleaning." He elaborated on its core principles:

Sort: Distinguish between necessary and unnecessary items.

Set in Order: Designate fixed locations, containers, and quantities for efficient access.

Shine: Clean while identifying issues and areas for improvement.

Standardize: Maintain the first three steps and establish standards.

Sustain: Cultivate habits of adhering to standards and reinforcing self-discipline.

Safety: Ensure a secure working environment.

Pan also shared practical guidance and case studies, such as "Establish essential-item checklists to improve the removal rate of unnecessary items" and "using shadow boards to reduce search time," giving trainees a tangible sense of implementation.

Through the training, management teams gained key methodologies for 6S implementation, laying a solid foundation for a safer, more efficient, and tidier production environment. Workshop supervisor Wang noted, "With the 'three fixes' (fixed location/container/quantity), material turnover efficiency has significantly improved!"
